About
Hello,
In 2019, Venture208 became my passion when my family and I opted for a fresh start in North Idaho. With a longstanding interest in American manufacturing and over twelve years of 3D printing experience, Venture208 is a natural fit for me. Initially, I dabbled in selling products on platforms like Etsy and eBay, gradually expanding my presence. Since then, Venture208 has flourished, boasting a track record of over 10,000 products sold. Curious? Feel free to peruse the rave reviews on my Etsy store.
Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology and a wealth of experience spanning manufacturing, aerospace, and automotive sectors, I'm deeply rooted in these industries. Additionally, as an Amateur Extra Class radio operator, I leverage my expertise to craft innovative radio solutions born from real-world challenges faced by myself and fellow enthusiasts. I take pride in my knack for problem-solving, evident in the meticulous designs of my creations.
Headquartered in my Idaho workshop just north of Coeur d’Alene, I oversee production using a fleet of ten 3D printers, often operating round the clock. Outputting nearly 1500 components weekly is routine, each meticulously inspected, assembled, and packaged by yours truly. Leveraging primarily Prusa Mk3s printers, quality remains paramount in every stage of production.
My product line encompasses three main categories. For ham radio enthusiasts, I specialize in crafting solutions for storing and showcasing handheld radios both on desks and in vehicles. The "Mug Buddy" cup holder systems have garnered popularity among coffee aficionados and commuters, catering to those who favor sizable mugs like the Yeti Rambler 14 oz. Last but not least, I enjoy designing trailer hitch covers, featuring themes ranging from outdoor adventures to pets and patriotism.
Thank you for your interest! Feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or product requests.
Gratefully,
Doug
